Late state Rep Ann-Margaret Ferrante will be forever remembered just a few yards from Hodgkin’s Cove at a place she tirelessly fought to make the best it could possibly be.
With new renovations completed at the UMass Amherst Gloucester Marine Station off Washington Street, station staff on Friday were joined by more than 100 guests, including many local and state leaders, to celebrate the work and to honor Ferrante.
The station’s newly reimagined outdoor learning space was named the Ann-Margaret Ferrante Living Lab for Marine Science and Education.
