Cape Ann communities to receive over $1.6M for roadway, infrastructure improvement

Cape Ann communities will be allocated over $1.6 million from the state to put toward transportation and infrastructure improvements.

The money comes from a recently signed $2.74 billion transportation and infrastructure bond bill that allocated $300 million to the state’s Chapter 90 program, which is used specifically to fund municipal local roads and infrastructure.

Each municipality across the state receives a portion of the $300 million, which is not available for use until fiscal year 2027 begins on July 1.
